This Sunday the workshop is: Week 3: Balance & Stillness | 10/14/12

The third workshop in this series will challenge you in many ways as Zebulon guides you through balancing poses and the importance of stillness within each pose.

 

On this day the focus is on centering yourself and letting go of any stress and or blockages that you may be experiencing. This day you will learn to play with your energy and learn what may be taking you out of balance so that you can get back into balance.

 

If you want to deepen your yoga balance, then be sure to attend. I will be showing you some very fun poses and will challenge you even more. :)

Ok really, what is Zendo?

The Zendo practice of life and balance varies depending on the practice it is being applied to. Traditionally the Zendo practice is for yoga, but has been worked into other practices such as; athlete training, martial arts, dance and weight training.

Zendo is the practice of self reflection and oneness with one’s true nature. In Zendo the focus is on slowing down everything we do during the chosen practices. In yoga we slow down the movements between poses for a deep conditioning of inner strength both physically and mentally. The Zendo practice is NOT all about poses. It’s about balance, flexibility, control, breath work, conditioning, meditation and stillness.

Applying the way in Zendo to your practice, whatever that may be, will balance your life and the overall experience of your practice by taking you deeper into mastery of oneness and control.

Stretching is the one thing I focus on each morning for at least 20minutes. get your body to flow with a good stretch each morning. For a really good awakening practice, do it for 45minutes and stretch out each area of your body. 

LISTENING


Spend the day listening. Do nothing else, but listen, listen to everything, everyone, and yourself. Take it all in be open and allow yourself to just feel without responding with your opinions, disagreements, approvals, wisdom or even the need to make corrections. Go out into nature today and listen, listen far, listen close. Find a way to connect more with your senses and thoughts. Meditate and cleanse your internal self. Today is about Listening.
